Koh Rin Island
Koh Rin is classed as one of the outer islands and can be seen from the shore of Pattaya archipelago as an almost perfect quarter circle rising out in the horizon. About an hour’s journey from the X2 Yacht Charter base at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club by motor launch and depending on conditions of sailing time of up to three hours. Picturesque in every aspect, Koh Rin offers some of the best snorkeling in all of the region with coral reefs in both the north and south located by their peaks at both the North Rock and South Rock. The abundance of sea life is something spectacular to gasp. With very little current it is possible to wander around this underwater paradise and witness things very few people ever have had the opportunity to see. For scuba divers, Koh Rin offers spectacular wall dives with enough depth to amaze even the most experienced scuba divers. Wandering along the deserted beaches and freshening up in the crystal clear water and perfect white sand is something you will never forget. On the western side of the island you can rent a sea kayak or take an inclusive one from the yachts, you will find wonderful rocky outcrops and small caves right by the water’s edge. During the low tide all around the island, you can walk along the reef and witness the tropical fish scurrying about their daily business. Koh Khram Island
Koh Khram is a small and uninhabited island Approx. 15 Km offshore the southern Coast of Pattaya. Koh Khram is part of a marine protection zone and is controlled by the Thai Royal Marine in Sattahip. X2 Pattaya Yacht charter will gladly introduce the two sandy bays ideal for snorkeling and swimming with intact coral reefs and very little to no infrastructure. Visiting the island is restricted during some times of the year, due to the protection of the sea turtles breeding there.
Koh Larn is a bustling island with many day visitors from Pattaya by speedboat. The island has permanent infrastructure like no other islands in the Pattaya archipelago. There are restaurants galore, we can sit on the beach and order food that is unique to Thailand. After your food you can hire a banana boat ride, a jet ski for the brave adventurer, or just lie around and soak up the sun as you tan on the soft beach of Koh Larn. Located only a short forty-five minutes from the X2 Yacht Charter base at Ocean Marina Yacht Club, you can leave Koh Larn late in the afternoon and still be back before dark. While on the island it is recommended to explore the inland parts where the island inhabitants have built themselves and industrious existence supplying goods and services to the many tourists that turn up to their shores on a daily basis.
Koh Phai is located to the north-west of the archipelago and 21 km west of Pattaya. The islands only inhabitants are two sailors from the Royal Thai Navy who does a marvelous job in keeping the beaches spectacularly clean and limiting the amount of boat traffic so that this unique island remains one of the best kept secrets and worth visiting with the X2 Yacht Charter team. To the north there is three different beaches and anchorages with easy access to a spectacular coral for snorkeling and of course the waters are crystal clear for both a refreshing swimming and moment of tranquility. On the eastern side we can find a large bay which the residents for the Royal Thai Navy lives. Further south on the eastern coast is one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever witness. Clear waters and white sand that would make you want to stay.
Koh Man Wichai
Koh Man Wichai is another uninhabited island located between Koh Phai and Koh Rin. Great diving and snorkeling can be found here at Koh Man Wichai. An abundance of marine life as with Koh Rin and two great dive sites for the lovers of the underwater world. The “Wall” is for the scuba folks and as the name implies, from 9 meters to 25 meters and full of great marine life and usually clear visibility. The “Finger” is versatile as it is in shallow enough water to snorkel and adore the spectacular colors of the coral and sea life. The “Finger” which is shaped like a hand is large enough to scuba down there until your heart is content. The tropical fish life is something to behold around this deserted island. The sandy coves around Koh Man Wichai offer great anchorages and wonderful scenery year round. Right in the middle of Koh Man Wichai on the eastern side is the best place in all the archipelago for a beach party and BBQ.
There are three excellent sandy coves to explore on this small island, two on the east and one larger one on the west. You will have a feeling of privacy on any one of these beaches and it’s a ideal site for our beach barbeques. The crystal clear waters surrounding the island along with its vibrant coral reefs and great variety of tropical fish making Koh Man Wichai an excellent snorkeling destination. This Island has two interesting dive sites which are known as ‘The Wall’ and ‘The Fingers’. “The wall” which has depths of 9 to 25 meters and “The Finger” so named for its resemblance to a human hand, with coral at a relatively shallow depth.
Ko Sac 10 km west of Pattaya, Koh Sak island is shaped like a horse shoe. There are two connecting beaches, one in the north which is 250 m in length suitable for swimming. The other beach is smaller, situated in the south, just right opposite the one in the north. It stretches 80 m long. The coral reef is remarkable in this area, making it ideal for snorkeling.
Sai Kaew Beach also known as White Sand Beach, is located as part of the Thai Royal Navy and is a playground for those servicemen and women that live on the naval base of Sattahip. Totally maintained by the Royal Thai Navy, Sai Kaew Beach is a wonderful stopover for those wanting to visit the relatively isolated Sai Kaew Beach, located on the mainland opposite of the large island of Koh Khrum and the smaller island of Koh Khrum Noi.
A great beach to explore with available deckchairs, and watersports outlets is a major attraction of Sai Kaew Beach. Sea kayaks, jetskis and banana boats are all available for those wanting to enjoy further. Some great restaurants are on the beach where you can lay back and enjoy the tropical surroundings whilst partaking in some wonderful culinary dishes prepared by local Thai chefs. There are no vendors peddling their goods and services, as you may find on the mainland, therefore a lovely relaxed family atmosphere is what you can expect from your visit to Sai Kaew Beach.
The Royal Thai Navy can be proud of the jewel in their crown the same way as they manage to maintain the beaches clean. Sai Kaew Beach is highly recommended for its natural beauty, great food and water sports which is a must see if the weather allows it.
Sai Kaew Beach is located very close to the X2 Yacht Charter base at Ocean Marina Yacht Club, and on the way be sure to get your skipper to stop at the famous Monkey Island’s and play with the local inhabitants before proceeding with your short ride around to the beautiful Sai Kaew Beach.
Koh Si Chang
Koh Si Chang is located approximately 30 km to the north of the X2 Yacht Charter headquarters at Ocean Marina Yacht Club. Koh Si Chang is a 8 square km Island which is located 12km from the mainland at Sri Racha. Koh Si Chang’s waterways is bustling with large barges that transport goods and produce in and out of the city of Bangkok. Fascinating to see the cities on water where families lives for months at a time on the huge barges that ply the waterways in the Gulf of Thailand. This rather quiet island has around five thousand permanent residents, and is an extremely intriguing Island that is rich in Thai history.
There are some wonderful temples to explore as well as the remains of a Royal Palace which was abandoned in 1893 after the French occupied the Island during a conflict with Thailand taking control of Laos. Upon arrival you will notice that Koh Si Chang is not famous for its beaches, however the tropical Island is fascinating as there are spectacular coastal hillside walks and Koh Si Chang is more famous for its water sports as its is known for its abundance of fishing and sea kayaking opportunities.
Koh Si Chang is famous for its seafood with some of the best seafood restaurants and some of the best prices. Full of Thai culture Koh Si Chang offers a wonderful experience to the European tourists visiting for the first time as it has very few non-Thai tourists and offers a wonderful experience.
Koh Khrum Noi
Koh Khram Noi is a tiny picturesque island on the north-eastern side of Koh Khram. This is an uninhabited island surrounded with crystal clear waters, beautiful white sand leading into a channel excellent for fishing and diving next to the rocks around the north of Koh Khram Noi and a forest within the island worth exploring. A great stop for a relaxing swim or snorkel on your way to one of our other exciting islands.
Koh Samet is a very large island with lots of quality accommodation, beach bungalows and five-star resorts. Koh Chang is the third largest island in Thailand and the Koh Chang archipelago is possibly the most spectacular waterway in the South China Sea. With forty three islands which are almost deserted outside the islands of Koh Mak and Koh Kood (where X2 Yacht Charter has two resort partners in X2 Resorts Koh Kood).The entire Koh Chang archipelago is a declared National Marine Park with over 650 km² dedicated to the preservation of this unique marine paradise. The island of Koh Chang itself is dotted with white sandy beaches from the popular western shoreline with the largest metropolis being White Sand Beach to Bangbao in the south to Salakphet Bay to the bottom of the east coast.
Samae San Islands
A little further south from Sattahip lies what has been described as the most picturesque archipelago left in Asia, with pure white sandy beaches, private little coves and completely isolated bays, this collection of island is a must for anyone looking for that true real adventure getaway. Just a few miles south of Pattaya is Monkey Island, unique compared to all the group of islands around as it is inhabited with several thousand of native Thai monkeys, it is still relatively unknown to both the locals and tourists alike.
